RASGAS - WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN

ROLE
The purpose of this position is to carry out daily Workshop activities associated with the LNG Process Train, Off- Site Facilities, Utilities and Off-Plot Facilities. The position provides technical knowledge and experiences for Workshop Machining, Balancing, Valve’s Overhaul, Calibration, Certification and Housekeeping Services for all Rasgas Onshore facilities. This includes to perform PPM for workshop equipment and tool 1.Mechanical maintenance work associated with the Maintenance Workshop, including but not limited to Repair, Overhaul, Testing and Fabrication activities 2.Experience in of the repair, overhaul and testing of all types of rotating equipment, valves, pipe work and fittings. 3.Ability to competently operate lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, surface grinders and tool and cutter grinder. 4.Able to recognise the cause of failure of mechanical equipment. 5.Use of various machine tools and mechanical testing equipment 6.Familiar with the use of basic cleaning tools and basic hand tools. 7.Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a team. 8.To support of Company EHS and Quality policies and programs. 9.Provides accurate maintenance history and closeout reports of all completed work as per company requirements.

REQUIREMENTS
•Qualified to journeyman level with a Technology diploma/certificate from recognised Institution. •A minimum of 5 years experience in a machine shop servicing operating plants. •Good written and oral communication skills in English. •Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a team. •Ability to work in a multinational environment.
