RASGAS - PLANNER

ROLE
To ensure the continued and effective operation of the Planning function in the nominated area of responsibility. It is expected that the majority of the planners time will be spent assessing work in the field, with the remainder of his time associated with CMMS and office based activities. •Ensure that effective plant configuration control processes are maintained. •Scope and plan work orders utilising history, standard job procedures and supervisor knowledge to assist. •Determine impact of maintenance work on production & budget. •Creation and utilization of maintenance task lists in SAP. Develop standard job tasks for regular work, PPM’s etc. •Identify all labour, material, equipment contractors, instructions and drawings required. •Place material reservations for all planned work and ensure that the supply chain procedure is followed. •Prepare work packages for inclusion in weekly schedule. •Ensure that drawings used are up to date •Allocate W/O’s for inclusion in the next 14 day schedule after taking into consideration required start date, priority, resource capacity, budget, production requirements, planned shutdowns, material availability and equipment availability. •Assign any new materials to BOM’s, Update BOM’s including removing obsolete parts. •Assist with the evaluation and optimisation of spare parts holdings. •Check history and recommend RCA’s if the same failure is occurring regularly •Outage planning: close liaison with Area Engineers 3 months in advance. •Reviewing backlog and reallocating to future schedules based on priority. •Review KPI results and implement recommendations as appropriate for the position. •Liaise with PMI for implementation of inspection findings. •Co-ordination with BUL’s/AE’s- in meeting OPE targets.

REQUIREMENTS
Secondary school education plus a three to five year vocational credential (HNC, HND or equivalent). Minimum 8-10 years experience as a Technical Planner and scheduler of activities associated with maintenance, production and materials in an oil/gas facility. Computer skills should include a working knowledge of a variety of technical planning software and maintenance management and materials software. SAP and Primavera P3 are preferred. Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance systems, performance measures and their applications. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Good leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member. Good adaptability to multinational environments, with exposure to various cultures and customs.
