Borouge - Credit Analyst
The Role
Borouge is now seeking an outstanding individual for the post of Credit Analyst. the role supports the oprative business while balancing the company's vision of customer satisfaction with the drive in reducing working capital and improving cash flow. This would include maximising Borouge's receivable investment and minimising the credit risks while supporting the business targets.
The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and reporting to the Head of Credit

Contribution
C1. Area of Responsibility
+ To perform timely release of blocked orders on credit hold
+ To initiate proactive actions by providing financing alternatives to benefit sales.
+ To perform analytical and sound credit assessment, recommend or approve credit applications within policy guidelines
+ To perform company and industry credit risks analyses and make recommendations on long-term plans for risk mitigation
+ To monitor country risks and provide alerts to business to minimise potential losses or delays in collections
+ Analyse payment performance of customers and provide recommendations to improve the payment behavior of slow payers
+ Proactively evaluate customer records and recommend accounts to be closed, credit limit or payment term to be reduced or extended, based on payment history with customers to optimise the cash flow
+ To provide and improve the receivable forecast accuracy within the target set
+ To prepare statements of deliquent accounts and forward these for legal action
+ Liaise proactively with Credit insurance underwriters to maximise the covers to reduce business risk exposures
+ To provide accurate and timely reports for decision making
+ To coach credit and sales team to solve overdue/credit related issues
+ Ensure that documentation of new and existing exposures comply with policy and legal requirements
Skills
S1. Education
University degree with formal accounting/or finance qualifications
S2. Experience
At least 5 – 8 years of relevant work experience
Excellent written and communication skills; English fluency
Good analytical thinking and ability to interpret complex financial statements
Knowledge of debt recovery processes
Competency in SAP system, relevant tools, processes and Microsoft software applications
Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and regulations
Understanding of Borouge and its businesses

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
