Technical Trainer (Mechanical)

Responsible for the development and implementation of training and systems to support the ADGAS Competence Development Programme for Engineers, and Technicians. He will be required to assist in the design and production of suitable training support material to ensure that the Competence Development Programme Quality Standards are maintained and that there is uniformity in the delivery of high standards of training which includes both ‘on and off the job training’. The successful candidate should also be able to:
· Coach the Developees (Engineers and Technicians) in both theoretical and practical activities as defined within the ADNOC/ADGAS Competency frame work and plan and follow-up the work based activities appropriate to the development of their skills and knowledge.
· In collaboration with other Training Centre staff, design and produce a comprehensive system for ensuring that the practical competence of the workforce is developed to the required standards
· Deliver ‘short sharp’ practical courses which emphasis the acquisition of practical skills
· Design, produce and deliver practical material for remedial work as identified by GAP analysis
· In close cooperation with the Developees and the input of Line team members and other Training Centre staff, develop and produce Personal Development Plans, Service Level Agreement and Personal Development Records for Developees.
· Maintain good working relationship with other Training Centre staff
· Observe and monitor competence checks of individual Developees
· In consultation with Line closely monitor the rotation of Developees and the effectiveness of the training
· Track the progress of Developees and produce reports as required.

Qualification:
· B Sc. or equivalent
· Completion of an approved programme of practical training, such as Apprenticeship or Professional Institution/ Engineering Training Body / Armed Services / accredited training programme and / or SVQ/NVQ Accreditations.
· Very good standard of written and spoken English Language
· Five years experience of the Oil and Gas Industry, with a further six years related industrial experience
· Must be computer literate
· Good interpersonal skills

Work Cycle:
5 / 2 work cycle, 38 days annual leave + 14 days public holidays
