Fabrication Supervisor

· Supervises, Co-ordinates and directs the Central Workshops Fabrication Section, which includes pipe fitting, welding and boilermaking activities. Ensures all work are carried out safely and according to safe working requirements as directed by the Work Permit System.
· Supervises and directs the activities of assigned personnel in the Fabrication Section. Performs supervisory function at the level established by Management.
· Receives work orders and determines priorities based on work schedules and commitments, if necessary visits work site to determine extent of work and other requirements, obtains appropriate materials, special tools and equipment as required, assign craftsman to the various jobs and provides necessary technical instructions.
· Checks daily the work progress and inspects completed work to ensure conformity with crafts standard.
· Inspects work performed by contractors for compliance with established specifications and standards.
· Liaises with ADGAS and ADMA-OPCO Inspection Engineers regarding quality control, inspection and testing of all welding and pipe fabrication.
· Arranges for and ensure that tools, equipment, spare parts and other materials are available for field and Central Workshops’ maintenance work at all times and initiates list of spare parts and materials for replenishment of stock.
· Ensures proper use of new as well as reconditioned material and good housekeeping practice in Central Workshops and field.
· Maintains appropriate records of maintenance activities and ensure that charges for time and material are properly made to the various work order accounts.
· Provides training and development to employees under his direction (with emphasis on UAE National) and assess their progress, that includes on-the-job training, counselling and proper work delegation.
Uses computerised Maintenance Management Systems (SAP) to carry out his duties.

Qualification:
Secondary Technical Certificate (12 years) or equivalent.
· 8 years related experience in the oil and refining or petrochemical industry, 3 years of which should be in a maintenance workshop.
· Good spoken English. Ability to write technical reports with minimum guidance.

Work Cycle:
35 working days on Das Island , followed by 28 days of leave to point of origin
