Disruptive Innovation is an innovation that creates a new market and value network and eventually disrupts an existing market and value network, displacing established market-leading firms, products, and alliances
The jobholder is responsible to foster most comprehensive disruptive innovation process for Borouge to derive future business horizontal expansion by introducing new business and product concepts and opportunities.
This role includes scouting and exploring new technologies, evaluate possible development in ventures or acquisition, discovering of insights and engineering of solutions. Deep involvement in developing and contributing to new business models to disrupt the market place provided with broad reviews and data mining for polymers industry’ technology, machinery and product processing while being part of the internal and external interface with research, OEMs, and respective institutes.
About you
As a successful candidate, you will have:
- Minimum Qualification
- University degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymers Science, or any equivalent Chemical, Engineering, or Science Disciplines.
- Good project Management Skills
- Exposure to international environment
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills- Minimum of 8 – 12 years of experience in chemicals, petrochemicals, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Research occupations
- Minimum of 5 years in new business development, product development and innovation.
- Preferred to have experience in translating deep consumer/customer empathy into meaningful opportunity areas.
- Fundamental understanding and knowledge of business, operation and innovation
- Strong understanding of various Businesses, Markets, Applications, and end-to-end consumer needs.
- Ability to synthesize disparate insights into implications and recommendations to define potentially disruptive business innovations
- Sounds knowledge in business’ reviews, scenarios, studies, benchmarking and research.
- Experience with conducting hands-on analysis on target companies and markets.
- Advanced communication and influencing skills with previous wide-range of connections within the polymers industry.
- Working knowledge with product’s financial-related aspects, quality, and performance.
- Excellent knowledge of general plastics processing, testing ,analytical equipment and techniques
- Very strong influencing and advisory skills, comfortable in working in matrix organizational model and context
