ZADCO - ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE:
- Prepare Electrical / Power Discipline Scope of work on all projects.
- Conduct Technical Reviews of all electrical submission from consultants / contractors.
- Prepare Electrical Design Basis; functional specifications and ensure their compliance on all projects.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Provides support to multi-discipline engineering team in Conceptual Studies, Conceptual / Basic Design / Front End Engineering and Detailed Engineering.
2. Prepares and develops scope of work for Engineering Consultants for all Electrical works / projects.
3. Conducts technical evaluation for selection of engineering consultants
4. Conducts technical reviews of engineering consultant’s work and ensures compliances with Zadco requirements, specifications, international standards and engineering norms.
5. Prepares material requisitions for electrical equipment / material.
6. Participates in site surveys of facilities to establish and identify the actual requirements.
7. Maintains Zadco standards and specifications by developing new technical specifications and updating existing ones.
8. Carry out design calculations as a tool for design checks by utilizing hand and computer software.
9. Participates in HAZOP / HAZAN, and other HSE related design reviews and audits.
10. Avails guided access to technical engineering knowledge and training
11. Assist in responsibility for engineering recruitment and career development of company relevant discipline engineers.
12. Provides sound quality and expert solutions to problems presented by business unit or support team and meeting target date.
13. Assists in assessing world class knowledge of skills to company
14. Witnesses performance tests and FAT on technical equipment for acceptance or rejection based on company requirements, specifications and standard.
15. Participates in commissioning of systems as required.
16. Prepare Business Case for Power related required projects.
17. Evaluate Power adequacy and recommend solution in case more power is required.
18. Assess and analyse best power network / grid solution to all plants.
19. Carry out studies to optimize power demand / consumption in all plants.
20. Selection of electrical equipment such as (Transform, HV/LV switchgears, UPS, motors, etc.)
21. Enhance electrical equipment performance and recommend modification / change of these equipments using new technology.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. B. Sc. In Electrical / Electronic Engineering
2. 12 years experience in oil or related industry, 7 years of which should be design of power supply, distribution, switch gears, hazardous area classifications, power management, network, other electrical equipment for offshore applications
3. Excellent knowledge and skill of relevant international codes and standards
4. Very good knowledge of English
5. Computer literate
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
