OFFSHORE INSPECTION ENGINEER
Location: Qatar

Role:
Assists and participates in inspecting plant stationary equipment as assigned, including structures, pressure vessels, columns, drums, heat exchangers, boilers, coolers, tanks, valves and piping systems and lifting equipment throughout the offshore installation. Enters equipment, observes conditions and makes preliminary interpretations. Assist in testing and certifying welders. Carries out as required non-destructive tests using the required instruments, tools and NDT equipment. Implements computerized inspection management program through Wincairs. Maintains inspection instruments, tools and equipment in proper working conditions. Prepares inspection reports with all findings and results.

Minimum Requirements:
Completion of Secondary (12 years) education, plus 2 years Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering completed. A degree in Engineering Discipline is preferred with 6 yrs exp in inspection and testing work on offshore facilities (including underwater survey on jackets and pipelines). A qualification (ASNT, COFREND or equivalent) in NDT techniques will be viewed favorably. Good written and spoken English.
