OXY - Asset Mechanical/Corrosion Engineer

Essential Job Duties:
This position is responsible for the following activities for an offshore operation. * Oversight of all corrosion and metallurgical related issues with regard to asset topside process and subsea facilities. * Preparation and communication of the annual Topsides Corrosion and Pipeline Review reports, in line with Asset requirements.* Reviewing of equipment inspection reports (i.e. vessels, pipework, etc.) * Maintaining the Installation Corrosion Monitoring and Mitigation polices* Maintain in-house RBI system to API 581* Provide technical expertise to Asset Integrity, Operations, Maintenance, RED, and Drilling Teams.* Assist in developing and implementing ongoing measures to identify and mitigate corrosion of vessel, pipework, pipelines and structural systems.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree Engineering (prefer Mechanical). * Ten years corrosion/materials experience with at least three years in corrosion management related role within the offshore Oil & Gas industry.* Knowledge of relevant codes and standards and their offshore influences* Ability to interface with and coordinate contractor activities.* Must be proficient with computers.
