003 (WVA) Work Value Assurance (WVA) Coach

Work Value Assurance (WVA) Coach:

1.1 Scope of Work

(i) To supply at one “Well Value Assurance” (WVA) Process Coach with skills and experience who is to be based in Abu Dhabi with visits to Offshore locations as required from time to time.

(ii) To supply Knowledge Management Software to provide a system for WVA teams to ensure that plans, outcomes and lessons learned are documented and utilized when planning operation.

(iii)To provide senior management support to the WVA Coaches to ensure transfer of best practice from other operating areas and direction to the Coach as necessary to ensure success in WVA implementation including but not limited to:

a) Supervision of WVA Coach, assurance of performance and deliverables.
b) Senior Client Management Coaching and feedback (Leadership Coaching).
c) Rapid delivery of new tools, techniques and methodology, sharing of best practice from around the Company.
d) Facilitation of leadership and other workshops (as required).
e) Maintenance of administrative and contracted issues.

1.2 Skills and Experience Required of WVA Coach
1.2.1 Excellent Communication and Facilitation skills.
1.2.2 Relevant well planning experience in an operational environment at senior engineer level in a related discipline – drilling, petroleum engineering, geoscience.
1.2.3 Knowledge and understanding of project management techniques as applied to wells.
1.2.4 Enthusiasm, energy and objectivity – need not be a technical expert but needs to be able to facilitate the team.
1.2.5 Efficient at managing meetings – Time management, Clear objectives, Agenda and documented actions.
1.2.6 IT literate in the following applications: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.

1.3 Job Elements
1.3.1 Become knowledgeable in the WVA process. Training will be provided for this.
1.3.2 Assist in the development of the WVA process.
1.3.3 Coach well project teams in the implementation of the WVA process. Project teams will mainly consist of drilling and petroleum engineers, geoscientists, petrophysicists and logistics people. This coaching will consist of:
a) Organising and running kick off meetings for the project teams.
b) Facilitating the teams in setting up project schedules and phase deliverables, selecting gatekeepers and responsible persons for each phase of WVA.
c) Organising and running regular team meetings for the project teams.
d) Coaching the project team through the project in working together to deliver work in an integrated fashion in accordance with the project schedule and WVA guidelines. ‘Choose the right well, plan the well right, deliver a high quality well and learn from it’.
e) Open Minded. Helping the team to overcome changes and problems as they arise.

1.3.4 Working with the DTL facilitators to ensure a high quality DTL process is followed. The DTL facilitator role job elements are included below as it is expected the WVA coach will also perform this role as necessary.
